Harsh word

I hope you enjoy reading this guys....hope you pass this to your friends too.

I ran into a stranger as he passed by. "Oh excuse me please" was my reply. He said, "Please excuse me too; I wasn't watching for you." We were very polite, this stranger and I. We went on our way and we said good-bye.

But at home a different story is told, how we treat our loved ones, young and old.

Later that day, cooking the evening meal, my son stood beside me very still. When I turned, I nearly knocked him down. "Move out of the way," I said with a frown. He walked away, his little heart broken. I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.

While I lay awake in bed, God's still small voice came to me and said, "While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use, but the children you love, you seem to abuse. Go look on the kitchen floor, you'll find some flowers there by the door." "Those are the flowers he brought for you. He picked them himself; pink yellow and blue. He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise, and you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."

By this time, I felt very small, and now my tears began to fall. I quietly went and knelt by his bed; "Wake up, little one, wake up," I said. "Are these the flowers you picked for me?" He smiled, "I found 'em out by the tree." "I picked 'em because they're pretty like you. I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue." I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today; I shouldn't have yelled at you that way." He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay. I love you anyway. I said, "Son, I love you too, and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."

Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think?

So what is behind the story? Do you know what the word FAMILY means?

FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER, (I), (L)OVE, (Y)OU

Pass this on to everyone that you care about. I just did.

Its memorial day

I did not wake up early today as I felt weak. My husband told me not to wake up to prepare his coffee. I woke up about 8 am to eat breakfast and take the medicine that the doctor prescribed for me. Its raining outside and I didn't go out as I'm not completely well yet. I'm waiting to be completely recovered. My husband is working even though its memorial day, I wish their Boss would give concern to the holiday. Guys I'm getting tired and weak now so I better close now. Have a nice day, and I'm sorry I didn't get to update my blog for awhile. I know you can understand me. God bless us all!

Bro. Dan's wedding

May 9, 2009 was the wedding of my younger brother named Dannyboy. He is 22 years young and married to one of our neighbors in Bayawan Philippines. The family sent me photos so here with I enclose their photos so you can see what their wedding looks like. They had a special wedding as they had a great party with many people. I am glad all got to eat even tho there was something wrong. I'm not going to say as I don't want to hurt the feelings of somebody that is special to my brother. So I am hoping they could have a good life when they move to Cebu. Ok guys, enjoy seeing their photos...I am glad I wasn't there to attend the wedding why? Oh well, one of my sisters had a hard time helping prepare their wedding...she told me that her mind is so full that she can't bear the noise of people...lol. I know she worked hard and of course when we are tired its hard to avoid feeling depressed.

Groceries time

It's Friday and its our grocery buying time. I'm am sitting here in my comfy chair while waiting for my husband to arrive. It's supposed to rain so I am wearing a shear jacket to keep me warm in case the rain comes. Well, I vaccumed our floor again today and glad its getting more cleaner...lol. My husband says I have vaccumed it so much that it looks like it has been shampooed recently. Today I didn't expect that I could make a pillowcase for the pillow I made a couple of days ago, but I found time and did it. I am glad my husband likes it. I will make another one as soon as I have time. As of now I may work outside in our garden and yard as its a pretty good week, its not raining much and I love this week, its wonderful and I feel comfy being outside. Guy's this is all for now. Have a nice day.

My husband mowed our yard

I'm done cooking supper and my husband is not yet done mowing our yard, I guess it would take him a day to mow our yard as its big...lol. Some of my flowers are growing already and I hope it won't rain again so I can remove some grass from the flower beds. I am glad Mom Willa is planning to visit us here, but my husband and I decided to wait until the flowers bloom so the yard will look more beautiful...lol. I am so happy to hear that she is going to visit us here. She is such a great mother In-law and I love her lots too. I hope God will give her a lot more years to live so she could hold our children someday. Well, I guess I have to go downstairs and watch my husband mowing the yard and maybe take some pictures of him for you guys. Its best to have photos of him showing what he is doing lol. Wow, I'm surprised when my husband showed me what he had done, he finally got the two stumps out in our backyard. He used the tractor and pushed them out. What a good job he did and I am proud of him.

I was sick yesterday

I felt so cold yesterday, and my throat got tight. I thought I might have fever but I guess I didn't, thank goodness. As of today I feel better and I sewed pillowcases for our pillows. I studied the book my husband bought for me but still I can't understand it fully. Yesterday after dinner my husband gave me a massage and put me on the couch to relax. I slept for nearly two hours I guess because when I woke up it was nearly 8 pm. I am glad I slept well again last night. Well, I didn't go outside much coz the yard is still wet. I hope that no more rain will come, but the forcast says we have lots more on the way. I hate storms, they scare me...lol. Guys another thing I want to share right here is that the Okra seeds I planted in our garden didn't grow yet and it worries me because I love Okra. Especially when you boil it and put some seasonings...lol. As I heard from news in radio, Okra is very useful as it can be used to cure disease. I forgot what kind of disease, but eating Okra makes you healthier. In other news, I was worried about my brother Robert going home riding a ship. He told me that they have storms there, and I was afraid for him to ride the boat. A year ago there was one of those same ships that sunk into the ocean and that was in our country Philippines. Many people were drowned. I sent him a texts message today to see where he was and he replied to me that he will texts me as soon as he gets to Manila. He will decide if he will go now after he sees how the weather is. Another thing I forgot to tell you guys is one of my brothers named DannyBoy is getting married and their wedding will be this coming Saturday, I hope my brother Robert can attend his wedding too. I know he intends to come back in our province before Danny's wedding, but I'm not sure if he can this time because of the typhoons in our country. I hope my brother Robert will have a safe trip going to our province, he is a good brother, and my husband and I are proud of him.Guy's this is all I have to share today. Have a nice day.

Severe storm is scary

Yesterday while were on the way home the announcer on the radio said that a severe storm will come tonight with a chance of tornadoes. My husband and I were talking about that a lot. The radio said tornadoes run so fast and its near to where we live. Not long ago my husband told me that there were houses got destroyed near to where he works. Gosh, that was pretty awful and scary and I am afraid of that. I am glad the tornadoes did not come on our property.Last night I was dreaming a lot about storms breaking our house...lol. I am glad that was a dream only. As for our garden its got a lot of water but its ok because I made beds for our garden so the rain won't stay to our garden for long. Well, I'm quite scared today after my husband left to go to work. Why? The wind blows so strong and the rain is so heavy that I can hear it when it hits our roof. As what the announcer said yesterday there would be the possibility that we could have a hail storm thats as big as baseballs. Gosh that scared me because in my country there is no such storm like that. In my country there are typhoons, tornadoes and rain storms, but hail storms we don't have. I think the heat of the sun melts the hail storm while its in the atmosphere. Guy's this is all for now...I hope you will not encounter severe storms with tornadoes...lol. Tornadoes are the most awful and scary weather forcast for me as it breaks lots of trees and houses, and even can kill people sometimes.
