We moved less than two years ago, but it now seems like a lifetime ago. We had to move quickly, as my husband's job transfer was given with little wiggle room. It seemed that packing up became my full time job, but with few lunch breaks and no nights and weekends off. Thankfully, my in-laws helped us to get everything packed up in the moving van and brought to our new home.
When we got there, it felt like we had so much to deal with. A new work schedule for my husband was only one of our many hassles. We had to find a home security service for more on where we found ours click here, and insurance was a bit of a hassle to transfer. I had to set up the new home in a way I liked, which took a lot of work with little kids underfoot.
Once we got into the groove of things, though, we were able to enjoy our new city. We had lived in a small rural town with not much to do except camp. Now, we were able to explore restaurants with foreign cuisine. There were parks that became favorites of my children. Also, we were so close to the beach, it became a favorite thing during the summer months. Moving can be a lot of work, but it invites a whole new adventure once you are there.
